by Larry Chiang on December 13, 2009

SXSW Film and Interactive are both in Austin Texas but that is where the similarities end. I break down the disparities below:

If you’re a celeb, you can +1 your friends. If you’re a hanger-on like me, crash with someone better than you and fight the greater bozo dynamic.

Film: Badgeless vs
Interactive: Badge-less

Film; truly hot.
Interactive; Julia Alison. Not very hawt. But great compared to some females in technology.

Film; distribution
Interactive; sorta distribution.

Film; famous
Interactive; intelligent

Film; doesn’t get it
Interactive; does get it (but is hecka poor)

Film; past
Interactive; future.

Film; fun
Interactive; nerdy spring break

Film; I can make u a star
Interactive; I think I’m a star already (and poor)

Film; CAA
Interactive; larry Lessig
