Startup School was my best spent Saturday all year.

It’s difficult to step back from the daily hassles of school and work, but it’s so important to ask oneself, “Why am I doing this?”

A start-up while you are in school means long hours and cutting back on all other commitments.  Doing Start-Up School and surrounding yourself with other like-minded people for an entire day gives you an incredible sense of encouragement and optimism.

I see Startup School as the annual gathering of everyone who follows the religious cult that YCombinator is.  Everyone looks up to Jessica and Paul as the people who give hackers a sense of importance.

How does a non-business person start a company?  Read Paul’s essays, read hacker news (http://news.ycombinator.com), and figure the rest out on your own.

It’s fun and exciting to see people fly across the country just to attend a one-day event.

I am a one hit wonder in business, a high school hero college zero in sports and illegitimately wrote a sequel to a book I didn’t write. But to make up, he I have hooped with Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Jason Kidd, Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan. I said MJ twice because I have played on his pick-up team twice. I also guest star in a video game.

Text or call me during office hours 11:11am or 11:11pm PST +/-11 minutes on my cell: 650-283-8008.
